You asked...

I plan to start the Basic Training seminar at the end of the year. I just wanted to know how certain issues are diagnosed, such as :  Dissociative Identity Disorder, Satanic Ritual Abuse, and eating disorders. How will these issues be identified in a session? Will this be taught in the courses?

Ed's response...

Theophostic Prayer Ministry does not teach how to make diagnosis and instructs that anyone who is not certified to do so stay clear of doing this.  Diagnosing medical or mental health issues is reserved for the licensed professionals (psychiatrist and medical doctors).  Theophostic Prayer Ministry is focused on lie-based thinking that is producing emotional duress in the person.  Disorders are symptomatic of root causes.  Often these causes are rooted in the false beliefs that people hold on to.  The TPM facilitator can use the principles and techniques taught in this ministry to help a person to discover and expose these beliefs without ever making a diagnosis.  I do recommend that lay ministers network themselves with the mental health community when possible and refer cases that are beyond their expertise to them.  When it is possible to work hand in hand with professionals this is best.

Thanks
